Journey of Embers
Zios is seen as the first of the Kings of Isidora. It is believed he was the driving force that united the races that now compose the people of Isidora. History tells that Zios united the races and led the crusade that drove the Orc tribes high into the mountains of Isidora. He kept his forces at the base of the mountains to fight back future Orc incursions. Many battles were fought between Zios’ forces and the Orcs until finally the attacks had stopped. A small town would be formed by the families and supports of the military.
Zios fell in love and wed with a medic by the name of Leona. It would be said the Leona was the one that truly ruled the then unformed kingdom of Isidora as she would run the day to day affairs of the land while Zios would go into battle or was out scouting with his men. Zios and Leona would give birth to three children. First born Demur, lady Irsis and lord Biel.
Zios would never realize that the small town that had sprouted would become the great kingdom that now stands. He had died at an old age of 53 when he had been shot with an arrow and dropped from his horse during an Orc raid. He was rushed to the town’s hospital but was unable to recover. It is said that his final words were “For all we march.” Zios’ first son Demur would take his fathers place as king. Leona would have Zios’ body buried at the center of the basin where his spirit could always keep watch across the land he fought so hard to protect. It is in this area that the Castle of Leon now stands.
